Roman Kosyakov
We are very much looking forward to welcoming 25 year old Roman Kosyakov from Russia.
What is especially exciting about Roman is that he recently won First Prize in the Hastings International Piano Concerto Competition with a performance of Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No 1 with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. A graduate of the Moscow State Conservatory who now studies at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Kosyakov was presented with a cheque for £15,000 and a guaranteed soloist appearance with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, plus the opportunity to play a concerto in the USA and a number of other concerts in Britain. He also won the £500 Orchestra Prize as voted by the RPO.

Roman's programme for the evening
Rachmaninov 10 Preludes
Bach Chromatic Fantasy and Fugue in D minor
Samuel Barber Sonata
This promises to be another wonderful recital!
